Refer to Events for more information about the Fall Social.
At the Fall Social you will have the opportunity to bring your supplies and work together with friends to make these cute pumpkins.
The large pumpkin requires 1 yard of fabric.
The small pumpkin requires one 12" square of fabric. (1/3 yard will make 3 small pumpkins.)
The medium pumpkin requires one 24" square of fabric. (2/3 yard will make one medium and two small pumpkins.)
Other supplies you will need include:
scissors
plastic grocery sacks for stuffing
a piece of a branch for the stem (we will have extra stems at the Fall Social)
hot glue
needle and thread
ribbon, raffia, and/or silk fall leaves, etc. for a final touch
The fabric is cut into a 12" circle for the small pumpkin, 24" circle for the medium pumpkin, and a 36" circle for the large pumpkin. You then do a running stitch around the outer edge of the circle of fabric. Double the thread to give it added strength, so it won't break when cinching. Cinch the thread up to bring the circle up into the shape of a ball leaving it loose enough to stuff in your plastic grocery sacks. Once it is stuffed finish pulling the thread up tight and knot it to hold it in place. Hot glue the stem in place and decorate as desired with ribbon, raffia, etc.
